Codie Natalie Yan is a filmmaker, photographic essayist, and a mixed-media artist currently based in Syracuse, NY. She holds a BFA in film and transmedia from the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University. Interested in societal and existential discourse, Yan often experiments by blending fiction and non-fiction to build intimate micro-narrations with fragments of cultural nuances and poetry.
Yan's work has been exhibited at the Syracuse International Film Festival, the Boston Short Film Festival, the Blackbird Film Festival, and the Chain NYC Film Festival. She is serving on the jury for Blackbird Film Festival 2019.
